The Frenchman Bay Scenic Turnout is under construction. This location provides travelers with a panoramic view of the bay and Mount Desert Island in the background. Dunbar's Grocery Store is located here, a real icon of the small-scale downeast way of life. You will also see a number of historic homes and Sullivan Harbor here.

Please take a minute to review this drawings and send your ideas to Jim Fisher. The small gardens at the ends of the sidewalk would be installed in the spring.  Simple, tough perennials no more than 5 species with staggered and long bloom times.  ( Nepeta, Coneflower, Coreopsis, Daylily, Salvia )
