    Taunton Bay Gateway
Welcome to the Western Gateway to the Schoodic National Scenic Byway. This site is literally under construction, with a new scenic rest area going up. At this site you will see a panoramic view of Taunton Bay, a highly productive tidal zone. This was once the site of Waukeag Station, where rail passengers could dismbark to ride a ferry across to the Town of Sullivan. You will also see historic structures, a reversing tidal fall and more here.

    Gateway Concept 5
The following three links take you to conceptual drawings for amenities under consideration for the Taunton Bay Gateway. Please take a minute to review these drawings and send your ideas to Jim Fisher. We will be compiling recommendations over the next few months in order to make a final selection. These drawings were prepared by LNC Landscape Architecture.
